I drink mostly wine, on average 5 or 6 times a week. I used to be able to have a glass and be quite tipsy. Now (a year later) a bottle is necessary to give me the feeling I crave. At least twice a month friends and I go out and seriously drink to the point of me not remembering things. I love the feeling the alcohol gives me but I despise the hangover. I do hear that wine is good for you, but what is excessive? Can I continue to drink but in moderation? I don’t think I am willing to give it up.

I thawed out a large pack of ground beef Monday in the refrigerator. Had to work over the past 3 nights so cooked it Wednesday evening with plans to make spaghetti the next day. Well worked late again and haven’t used it yet. It smells and looks fine, but is it okay to finish cooking it today?

I have a cookie recipe that calls for 1 cup of butter flavored Crisco, but all I have is unsalted butter and vegetable shortening. Can I use one of these instead and, if so, what would the measurement be? It’s just chocolate chip cookies. Thanks!

i have found a fantastic recipe site but all the measurements are in american equivalent,for instance they use a cup,what would that be in england, and is baking soda our baking powder,or does anyone know where i can find out thank you.

tomorrow I am planning on having a smoothie for breakfast, but I need some kind of grain to go along with it to make it a balanced breakfast. If I put wheat germ in it, would that count as a grain??
what is wheat germ good for anyways? is it good for gaining muscles? will it make me fat?

Me and my buddy were arguing about what exact liquor Jager is. I wasn’t sure but I said I would bet him that Jager was a kind of schnapps since it originates from Germany and Germany’s trait alcohol is indeed schnapps. So, what kind is it?
Guys, I know what Wikipedia says, I’ve been there. Now, type in schnapps on Wikipedia and Jagermeister is under that category.

I get bad hangovers pretty much every time I drink. Is it bad to just throw up intentionally before you go to bed to avoid a hangover? Would it even help? If I don’t I usually throw up the morning after anyways…

I would expect more variation, but many different products specify "high" in bold or all-caps. What is the advantage of cooking on high for 1 minute versus cooking at 50% for 2 minutes? I would expect the results to be similar, but the latter would distribute heat more evenly, wouldn’t it?
