What is the statute of limitations on "free refills" at McDonalds?

I think it should be "as long as you own that cup". Since there are no "terms of use" posted anywhere in the restaurant, you should be able to bring the cup back on your next visit and get your free refill. As long as you paid for the cup originally any refill should be free. Now before you say, once you leave the restaurant, you can’t come back with the cup, many McDonalds have patio seating. They can’t possibly monitor who has left and who was just eating outside.
