Why do people choose different camera brand names, and what is really the difference?

I use and love my Canon, but sometimes I wonder if Nikon is better. And Pentax, Sony, and Lumix…Where do they fit in?
I wonder if I should try out all of these different cameras, but the cost associated with each would make me broke on the first one! Any suggestions and comments on these thoughts?

I have used a Pentax film SLR (one about 30 years old), and a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi SLR.

3. I have my online store front
4. I can set my own prices.
5. The service prints the photo and ships it to the buyer
6. They should print any size photos (including panoramic prints)

What is the perfect electronic device for school?

I don’t want to lug my laptop around so I was wanting something a little more portable. I just need to be able to take notes on Microsoft word or something similar, no extra fancy features. I was thinking about getting a net-book, but I figured there HAS to be something out there that is cheaper.
very funny but I have a taser. unfortunately I guess mine is outdated since I can’t seem to access Microsoft on it. oh well enjoy your 2 points!
