What does this mean when trying to install a new program? “The installer is unable to run in graphical mode.?

The installer is unable to run in graphical mode.
Try running the installer with the -console or -silent flag.
I have windows vista home premium. I have installed this program which is a statistics software for school. This message came up after installing the software three times and it not opening. The software is called SPSS for students.
Right click the installer then properties then "Run in 16bit Colours"
That should work now…WOO!
